Talkie Tuesdays: Strings (2004)

This movie, a fantasy film, has an artistry that I’ve never seen before. I mean, I’ve seen movies with marionettes (Team America: World Police) but nothing like this before. The concept is that these characters are attached to strings but they aren’t just for movement; the strings represent their life. For instance, when a hand or leg string is cut, it is as if that body part has been amputated. When the head string is cut, the character dies. Besides this concept, there is a regular plot. Anyway, check out this Danish-Swedish-Norwegian-British production. It won a lot of awards, too.
